CAPE TOWN MEADERY

Founded in 2016, Cape Town Meadery specializes in crafting mead, the world’s oldest known alcoholic beverage, with origins in Africa. Using only the purest African honey, we blend it with water and ferment that with wild yeast to create our unique meads. As the only commercial Meadery in South Africa, we offer an extensive range, including our 2-year bottle-fermented bubbly, Melaurea, Braggot Honey Lager, Sweet, Dry, Fire, and Gluhwein meads, as well as Alvearium Gin—the world’s first gin made entirely from honey. We're now expanding our range with our first nonalcoholic product: Honey Mead Vinegar.
